The intense smell of a gorgeous black cherries, boysenberries and raspberries ripe formally jumps from the glass. Hints of cumin, anise and cocoa round the smell from addition. The wine shows full-bodied and soft, while he retains the fresh flavors of berries in the taste. The finish is very persistent with soft aromas of cherry juice and a touch of cinnamon.

Herdade dos Grous RESERVA<br/>Alentejo
Robert Parker:"The 2014 Reserva is a blend of 50% Alicante Bouschet, 30% Tinta Míuda 30% and 20% Touriga Nacional, aged for 16 months in new French oak. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol. This is fresh and lively, concentrated, but showing finesse. It has a tightly wound feel and a fine, lingering finish, together with a real backbone. The tannins are well integrated, though, never overly hard. Overall, this is crafted with precision and will show well —it just needs a few years to allow it to become more expressive and complex. It will be more interesting around 2019–2022. You could approach it now, but give it some air if you do.¨"

Herdade dos Grouso Moon Harvested<br/>Alentejo
Eine englische Landwirtschaftsfirma machte Duarte den Vorschlag, anhand der Mondstellung den idealen Erntezeitpunkt zu errechnen. Das Ergebnis war der 14.September, überraschenderweise jedoch für den besten und den schlechtesten Erntezeitpunkt, je nach Tageszeit. Also wurde zu beiden Uhrzeiten geerntet und das Traubengut separat ausgebaut. Der nach Empfehlung geerntete Wein hatte deutlich mehr Extrakt und eine klarere Tanninstruktur. Im Glas tintenschwarz mit violetten Reflexen. In der Nase betörende Fruchtsüsse mit reifen Brombeeren unterlegt.
